Funding and Resourcing Learning Support

Some students with significant educational needs are regarded as having ongoing learning support needs, and their extra support is funded through the Ongoing Resourcing Scheme (ORS). These students are often identified at pre-school and will have significant needs that will need to be met using this funding resource. 

Other funding may come from supporting agencies such as speech and language, the Resource Teachers of Learning and Behaviour service or the Ministry of Education behaviour services.
