Principal's Message

Kia ora koutou / Greetings to you all,

Welcome to our fantastic, cutting edge, 21 st  century school!  It gives me great pleasure to welcome you and your child to what will be an exciting experience being involved in a dynamic educational facility.

While we are one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s largest full primary schools, we see ourselves as a close whanau / family where learning is personalised and relationships are positive.

Rob Rush

Our future focussed school first opened in 2010 and we have continued to pride ourselves on best practice teaching and learning, utilising modern teaching resources and digital technology to engage our learners.

At Te Kura o Mārama / Clearview Primary, we use our three core school Values to create a safe and positive environment where everyone can thrive. These Values are:

Whanaungatanga – Growing connections and relationships that create a sense of belonging.
Manaakitanga – Showing respect, generosity and care.
Ako – Taking responsibility for our learning.

I hope that when you visit us and become part of the Clearview community that you get a sense for the friendly and caring culture we have worked hard to create.  I am very proud to be Principal of Clearview Primary and it is my goal to ensure that all new families feel a sense of pride in their local school too.

I finish with a whakatauki (Māori proverb) that speaks to the importance of keeping connected, of maintaining relationships and dialogue so that we can keep moving forward together.

Waiho i te toipoto, kaua i te toiroa (Let us keep close together, not wide apart)

Ngā mihi nui
Rob Rush
